www.shebuildsrobots.org started as an independent study at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, inspired by Christina Ernst’s experiences at HackIllinois and as a computer engineer. In addition to free robotics tutorials available online 24/7, She Builds Robots has now provided hundreds of dollars’ worth of free circuit and coding kits to teen girls across Chicago.
