In this issue: Outreach Programs, Welcome to the New Engineering Ambassadors, Congratulations to our Seniors
Highlights of 2022-2023
Outreach Programs
The Engineering Ambassadors have made quite an impact this year! This year we have conducted 76 events and interacted with 3,700 students and teachers. We were excited to be mostly back on-campus this year with our events so that students could not only get a STEM experience but also take in what it is like to be on a college campus. When we did travel off-campus, the majority of our events were in Worcester with local community based organizations and schools. Our EAs have really shown that outreach can take place in many different ways and as long as they have a chance to work with students that is all that matters.
Welcome to the New Engineering Ambassadors
Thanks to our corporate sponsorship partners we were able to select 14 new EAs to join our team! We are excited for the impact they will allow us to have in the years to come! They bring with them experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as other various academic areas of interest. Keep your eyes on our social media accounts as we take the summer to introduce each of them to you. Welcome to the team!
Congratulations to Our Seniors
We celebrated the accomplishments of our 23 graduates who will be pursuing graduate school as well as full-time employment opportunities worldwide! We are particularly proud of this group of students who have transitioned through many types of outreach offerings over the last few years as we navigated the evolving changes during the public health emergency. Their leadership helped to bring the group of ambassadors together. We are eager to hear about their new adventures in the coming months!
This Year’s STEM Stats To Date:

Opportunities for Alumni
We really enjoy staying connected with our EA Alumni! Whether you follow us on different social media outlets, send us an email with updates, or stop by to say hello when you are on campus we enjoy hearing from you.
For alumni who are interested in continuing your outreach efforts we would love to engage you in additional opportunities. If your company allows for outreach time and you would like to come to a presentation for one of our afterschool programs or be on a panel, we want to hear from you! Email Jenna at jnoel@wpi.edu to discuss opportunities that are available. EA will also be hosting a few programs throughout the year that take place on the weekends or in the evenings that would lend themselves to alumni involvement so please keep your eyes out for opportunities.
We are also working on creating promotional videos and would love to include some of our alumni! If you would be willing to appear in a video (your location can be anywhere in the world with the use of technology), please let Jenna know and she can coordinate with the Collaborative Board to get you featured!
Social Media Presence
Please follow the Engineering Ambassadors on our different social media platforms! We enjoy connecting with you and showing you all the exciting things that are taking place.
The Engineering Ambassadors work to engage middle and high school students in the opportunities present in the STEM fields. Our mission is to change the conversation about engineering through presentations and creative hands-on activities. We also have the opportunity to develop leadership, presentation, and project management skills throughout our training.
